James Graham, a tenured professor of International Law and Arbitration at the University of Nuevo León (UANL), is an 20 year experienced business lawyer and litigator. He graduated in Law from the University of Paris II Panthéon-Assas, and in Political Sciences as well. He also graduated from the Institut des Hautes Etudes de Paris. He obtained his Doctorate in Law from the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne (in International Law, Private International Law, Arbitration). He started his career in France, moving afterwards to Luxembourg. He was a lecturer at the University of Luxembourg and the University of Saarland (Germany). In 2001, he came for personal reasons to Mexico, where he was admitted to practice Law. After ten years as a name partner in a Mexican Law firm, he joint as a CEO an American-Mexican law firm, where he also headed the Litigation and Arbitration Practice Group. He is member of the Board of various international companies. He is tenure professor at the UANL, where he teaches international arbitration in the Doctorate School, and heads the Corporate Law LLM; an associate professor at the UDEM, where he is in charge of the oil & gas arbitration course; and an invited professor with the UR, where he shares his experience as negotiator in the LLM program.
Luis Omaña was a fellow at the University of Lille (France) and afterwards graduated from the UANL. He litigates commercial and banking cases, besides startup projects. He was a lecturer at the UANL.
Eduardo Soto graduated from the UR and manages criminal litigation. He is also a legal advisor to a Agency of the State of Nuevo León.
Melissa Ambriz graduated from the UANL and was the president of a large law firm’s pro bono foundation. She mainly handles IP matters and trademark disputes. Presently, she is the firm’s manager.
Anabell Briones is an 20 year experienced family lawyer graduated from the UANL, a State certified mediator, with a master in ADR, as well as a trained and active psychologist certified by the State’s Supreme Court with a Master in Family therapy. She’s in charge of our Family Governance Team, and mainly focuses on establishing harmony in family wealth management cases.
Jessica Mendez was already our intern when she graduated from the UANL. She litigates familiar and civil matters. Jessica is also in charge of the media communication of our firm.
Jacobo Garza graduated from the UR, with a Master Degree in Commercial Law from the UANL. He has a large experience in litigating commercial law, corporate matters, credit operations, insurance, bonds, guarantees and securities; leasing, trusts, acquisitions, mergers, among others.
Carlos Treviño graduated in Law from the UANL, and in International Relations from the Tecnológico de Monterrey. After a successful decade of litigation, he decided to dedicate himself to pro bono human rights cases, through national and international NGOs.
Kevin Staas, a partner with the Staas Law Group PLLC, graduated from Bowling Green State University with a B.A. in 1995 and Cleveland-Marshall College of Law with a J.D. in 1998. Kevin has served as a member of the Advisory Board and Keiser University, the Sarasota County Bar South County Division Steering Committee, and is a former director of the Venice-Englewood Bar Association.
With more than 15 years of experience, Michael Stefan counsels and litigates in Germany. Michael obtained his degree with the University of Saarland (Germany). He lectured Cyberlaw at the University’s Institute for Law and Informatics. and Media Law at the Baden-Wuerttemberg State University.
